Four Questions | Identity, Home & Place

FOUR QUESTIONS
| IDENTITY, HOME & PLACE

Four Questions is a Koffler.Digital project developed in conjunction with Esther Shalev-Gerz, and inspired by her multimedia work First Generation (2004), which explored the tradition of portraiture. By engaging with the personal experiences of community members who have immigrated to Canada either recently or several decades ago, Four Questions showcases the complexities of identity-making and the ever-evolving definitions of home.

We invited first generation Canadians among Koffler Gallery docents to answer these four questions:

"What did you lose?;
What did you find?;
What did you get?;
What did you give?"

Director/Producer: Letticia Cosbert
Director of Photography/Editor: Ceecee Lu
Participants: Sherin Antony, Syeda Karishma-Bristy, Aura Ostrowski, and Khyati Pathak

Filmed at the Koffler Centre of the Arts.
